Summer Learning for Students

logo

Dear Families,

This summer, students entering Kindergarten through 6th grade have the goal of reading for 1,000 minutes! 20 minutes of reading on most days throughout the summer will complete the task. Minutes can be counted when kids read alone, with a friend, listen to an audio book, or are read to by an older sibling or family member. ANY and ALL reading counts! Additionally, add to those summer learning minutes by tracking your math learning as well!
How do I access my student's summer learning? Elementary Students can access the Summer Math page on the BIT Elementary Math website and the Summer Reading page on the BIT Literacy Elementary website. Please have your child return their work to their classroom teacher in the Fall. Class minutes will be tallied to see which class was able to accumulate the MOST reading and math MINUTES over the summer. Celebrations will vary by building, but all efforts will be acknowledged!
Middle School Students can access their summer work for Math and ELA in the menu below. Lastly, i
f your child attends Foxborough High School, information on summer work can be found on our FHS department pages.
We wish you an enjoyable summer! Please reach out with any questions. Thank you!
