2025 Mathematics Program Changes


Dear Students and Families,

Every six years, each curricular program engages in a Curriculum Review process to assess the effectiveness of our programs and the alignment of our programs to current research or guidance from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) and other professional organizations. On April 10th, our Mathematics Program Leaders presented the proposed changes to the mathematics program based on the curriculum review process they have engaged in throughout the 2024-2025 school year. These recommendations will be shared with our School Committee, along with a comprehensive curriculum review report that details the process they engaged in with a team of general educators, special educators, and administrators throughout the district. 

Included below you will find the revised course progression, the presentation shared with our families at Math Information Night, and an FAQ to support students and their families with understanding the reasoning behind the proposed changes.
