Dear Families,
This summer, students entering Kindergarten through 6th grade have the goal of reading for 1,000 Minutes! 20 minutes of reading on most days throughout the summer will complete the task. Minutes can be counted when kids read alone, with a friend, listen to an audio book, or are read to by an older sibling or family member. ANY and ALL reading counts! Additionally, add to those summer learning minutes by tracking your math learning as well! In Mathematics, students entering grades one through five are asked to visit the Summer Math page on the BIT Elementary Math website to access their summer learning. For students entering grades six through eight, you may access the choice board menus below. If your child attends Foxborough High School, information on summer work can be found on our FHS department pages.
Please have your child return their work to their classroom teacher in the fall. Class minutes will be tallied to see which class was able to accumulate the MOST reading and math MINUTES over the summer. Celebrations will vary by building but all efforts will be acknowledged!
We wish you an enjoyable summer! Please reach out with any questions. Thank you!
